Annie's First Birthday!

What a fun day! Of course Annie was the center of attention as the birthday girl, but it was great to see everyone and to get to play with Caroline, Emily, and Julia too.

At first Annie was a little unsure about all of the commotion so she just hung out with Grandma and Great-Grandma for a bit.

Our Future New Car

I had to do something to get my birthday post off of of here so it's been bumped by pictures of our future new car! It's a 2009 Honda Fit Sport. We had to special order it because they're sold before they get on the lot. It should be in around the 3rd week in October. Yay!

This is pretty close to the actual color that we're getting. In person, it's a bit darker. It's not a hybrid, but it does get good gas mileage and the seats fold down and fold up into different configurations to make all sorts of cargo space. It's a neat little car!

My Birthday!

I had a fantastic birthday!! John's mom came to visit and brought me wonderful presents. Then John and I went shopping and I got to get some things that I never buy because they seem like a waste of money (like a new hairdryer, bath salts, and a hot stone massage kit). Then to top off the day we had a delicious chocolate ganache cake!


In the picture you can see the flower arrangement that John sent to me at work on Friday. Nothing gets the office ladies abuzz like flowers. Any hope I had of keeping my birthday under the radar went right out the window =)
