Happy Birthday Jessie!

Wow, Jess. 18 years old! Here's a little video to put a smile on your face.

Oh, and come back later. I've got more planned for this post (he says, rubbing his hands together and laughing an evil laugh), but I wanted to get this up today.

Love you!

Dad...and all of us.

Evan and Emma on the internet

I was looking up Evan and Emma's daycare calendar on the school website to see if they have school on Labor Day and I started exploring the site. Turns out, there are a few pictures of Evan doing yoga on there and he's in the safety video! Obviously it makes sense to choose pictures of the cutest kid when trying to promote your school.

That reminded me that Emma had been in a segment that Fox News taped at the school for their new sanitizing system. Sanitizing systems are a bit blah, so again, it makes sense to choose some adorable kids to be in the segment!

Anyway, I figured I'd add them to the blog. Evan and Emma on the 'net!

Visit to Grandma's!

We spent a wonderful long weekend at the Cape with Grandma and Dryden. I got a stomach bug, so I was out of commission for one whole day and feeling lousy for most of the others, but Grandma and Daddy made sure that Evan and Emma had a blast. There aren't a lot of pictures because I'm usually the one taking them, but here's what we've got!

We visited the Natural History Museum, the beach, Nauset Lighthouse, the windmill, and made a few trips to the "train store" (Snow's), of course.

Evan and Emma had lots of fun at the Natural History Museum. There is a small aquarium section that Emma enjoyed. (She liked the turtle the best.) There was also a beehive behind glass and a huge viewing window where we saw lots of birds and even a fox! But I think they both enjoyed the gift shop the best.
In the shark cage!
(Dad says, "We need one of these at home!")
The beehive
Grandma's tomatoes and green beans were growing like crazy. Evan had a ball picking them off the vines.
A walk on the "magic path"
"Come on in! The water's beautiful!"
I think Emma prefers the sand to the water
Evan and Grandma walking out to the "islands"
"We made it!
Awww! Daddy and his little girl!
Waiting in line for the lighthouse. Evan had to be very patient since only a few people can go up at a time
We weren't planning on going to the beach, but it was right there so we made a "quick" stop to look at the water
Uh oh, Evan and Grandma got away!
And they're on the beach...
Evan loved the waves! Grandma had to hang on tight so that he wouldn't go out into them too far
Watching the seals go by
And the visit wouldn't be complete without a trip to the lifeguard chair!

Rainy day at home

Ballpopper fun, Emma found the new treadmill, and Evan built a couch out of blocks!
