We spent a wonderful long weekend at the Cape with Grandma and Dryden. I got a stomach bug, so I was out of commission for one whole day and feeling lousy for most of the others, but Grandma and Daddy made sure that Evan and Emma had a blast. There aren't a lot of pictures because I'm usually the one taking them, but here's what we've got!
We visited the Natural History Museum, the beach, Nauset Lighthouse, the windmill, and made a few trips to the "train store" (Snow's), of course.
Evan and Emma had lots of fun at the Natural History Museum. There is a small aquarium section that Emma enjoyed. (She liked the turtle the best.) There was also a beehive behind glass and a huge viewing window where we saw lots of birds and even a fox! But I think they both enjoyed the gift shop the best.

In the shark cage!
(Dad says, "We need one of these at home!") |
| The beehive |
| Grandma's tomatoes and green beans were growing like crazy. Evan had a ball picking them off the vines. |
| A walk on the "magic path" |
| "Come on in! The water's beautiful!" |
| I think Emma prefers the sand to the water |
| Evan and Grandma walking out to the "islands" |
| "We made it! |
| Awww! Daddy and his little girl! |
| Waiting in line for the lighthouse. Evan had to be very patient since only a few people can go up at a time |
| We weren't planning on going to the beach, but it was right there so we made a "quick" stop to look at the water |
| Uh oh, Evan and Grandma got away! |
| And they're on the beach... |
| Evan loved the waves! Grandma had to hang on tight so that he wouldn't go out into them too far |
| Watching the seals go by |
| And the visit wouldn't be complete without a trip to the lifeguard chair! |
