That new baby smell

So you take up your month old baby and hold him on your shoulder, patting his back, soothing him. Soon he's quieted, nodding off, and you lay him down for a nap. It's a wonderful feeling. As you walk away you can still smell him, his scent lingering. You smile. You love the smell of him, and hope it lasts.

Later, while washing your hands, you look at yourself in the mirror. That's when you see it, a milky splotch on your shoulder. Ah yes, now you realize just why your son's smell has lingered so long.

Family Fun

Evan has been having a great time meeting more of the family! He loves all of the cuddles and attention. Here he is with Grandma, Auntie Erica, Annie, and Charlotte.

Annie and Charlotte were so cute, giving Evan lots of pat pats and kisses.

He certainly has the ladies in the family wrapped around his finger!

Uncle Tim, Caroline, and Emily also came to visit. Evan is Uncle Tim's only nephew (so far...)

Caroline and Emily both got a chance to hold Evan. He was so happy and content with them.







Grandpa Tim and Grammy Marcia came to visit for an afternoon too. Evan was awake when they arrived but fell asleep in Grandpa's arms pretty quickly.
