That new baby smell

So you take up your month old baby and hold him on your shoulder, patting his back, soothing him. Soon he's quieted, nodding off, and you lay him down for a nap. It's a wonderful feeling. As you walk away you can still smell him, his scent lingering. You smile. You love the smell of him, and hope it lasts.

Later, while washing your hands, you look at yourself in the mirror. That's when you see it, a milky splotch on your shoulder. Ah yes, now you realize just why your son's smell has lingered so long.

Some new pics:

They say babies can't really smile at this age. It's probably just gas.

Wow. That's a lot of gas.

Resting quietly. Who doesn't love a sleeping baby?

Pondering whatever babies ponder.

Mommy and son, both beautiful.

Asleep again.

Lots of sleeping pictures. Thankfully, he's pretty good at sleeping.
