Evan Updates

Evan had his 2 month doctor's visit on Monday! He's very healthy, weighing in at 14lbs 15 oz and 24 1/2 inches long. The little guy had to get 3 shots at this visit. He was a really good sport. He cried when he actually got the shots but as soon as it was over, he calmed right down. That evening he was a little fussy (really not too bad though, I think he had a little gas too) but other than that he weathered the shots just fine. He mostly just slept a lot that afternoon and night. No fever or adverse reaction at the injection site, which is good. I'm so glad that's done!

We've been going outside a bit this week because the weather's been beautiful. We've also been checking out some of Evan's toys. Yesterday he sat in his Bumpo seat. He's a little bit young to be using it, but he did really well keeping himself up, I just needed to support his head a bit to keep him straight.

He also rolled over a few times during his "tummy time". Way to go Evan!

Here are some pictures of the little guy:

Hi, welcome to my backyard

Yeah, that's right - I've got my very own swing set back there.

Not to change the subject, but did you ever notice that I have lovely hands?

Hey, this seat thing is pretty cool.

I think I've got the hang of this!

Uh, mom, where'd you go?

Okay, I can do this, I can do this.

Okay, maybe not... little help here!

That seat thing is fun, but this is much better

Evan's first Easter

Evan's first Easter was spent at the Cape with Grandma and Dryden! It was so much fun. Uncle Tim, Auntie Ali, and their kids were there too.

I made Evan a little Easter basket figuring that he wouldn't be eating the candy, so why go crazy. I certainly don't need to be eating it. However, I think he was slightly underwhelmed. I promised him that next year would be MUCH better.

"Is this a joke? Seriously, what is this, the appetizer basket?"

"This is it? Okay, I mean, I'll take it, don't get me wrong. But I'm not impressed."

Evan got to meet Auntie Ali for the first time. With four kids, Auntie Ali has a lot of experience with little ones. Evan felt right at home with her.

My Grandma, Aunt Peg, Uncle Bill and Cousin Mollie stopped by for a quick visit too. Here's Evan with his Great Grandma (my mother's mother)

And then there was the food. It was delicious, as always!

We had such a wonderful time! Thanks for making another great Easter Grandma!!
Happy Easter everybody!

Random pics from Evan

Hanging out with Dad

Chilling with cousin Carter. Carter and I go way back. He came to see me when I was still in the hospital!

Hmmm, I think I'm feeling a bit peckish

Mommmmm, I'm hungry

Maybe I can eat my shirt

Who, me? Cute? Oh dear, you're making me blush

Don't tell anyone you saw me getting burped okay? You'll ruin my street cred...

Hellooo!

Hey, what's that thing you've got there?

Oh, oh, oh! I think I can grab it!

Okay, I didn't get it this time, but one of these days I'm going to get my hands on that thing...
