Random pics from wintertime

These two keep us busy, so we don't get much chance to update this blog. Okay, maybe there's just a bit of laziness involved, but mostly it's their fault. :) So to make up for lost time, here's a mix of pictures taken over the winter months. Enjoy!

Ball pit fun.

Yikes! Almost lost him!

Smiles!

Drum line.

Yep. She can open doors now.

Venturing into deep snow. Luckily he didn't sink all the way down
or it would have been up above his waist.

"Hey. It's not so bad/"

"Ummm. A little help here?"

Did you know you can throw small children if the snow is deep enough?

No, really. You can.

And they like it!

Awwww.

Ready to go to school.

Now all we need is the hat and...

Done!

Found this in aisle 7.

Having fun crushing Mommy.

Making pizza for the first time.

Adding the finishing touches.

Feeding herself, and doing a pretty good job!

Pirate fort! Made from diapers and wipes.

Ian's Birthday!

Ian turned 16 on February 6. Yep, you read that right, 16! I'll try not to embarrass him with praise, such as that he's smart and talented and funny and wonderful and all that sort of mushy stuff, I'll just say Happy Birthday and post a couple pics.

Father and son portrait, Jeffrey style
Smiling!
Also, to give him a nice birthday smile, we had Evan sing Happy Birthday for him...a few times. Emma helped, too.

Emma's 1st Birthday!

Our little girl turned 1! I have a hard time believing that she's already a year old. On one hand it seems like just yesterday that we brought her home and on the other hand it seems like she's always been a part of the family. She's full of energy, laughs a lot, loves to eat Kleenex, thinks that Evan is hilarious (especially when he does something nutty like hitting himself on the head or making loud noises), and definitely has that redhead temper when she doesn't get what she wants. She also says Mama and Dada and has just started walking more than crawling.

She was having a rough day on her party day, but she was a trouper and made it through to cake. We had a wonderful time celebrating with everyone!

"Hey, presents!"

"Are these for me?"

"The best part of the present"

Evan was very excited that Emma got a dollhouse

Dinnertime craziness. Emma's laughing as Evan hits his head with his fork.
A cake for Emma on the night of her actual birthday

The kid who will eat anything (regardless of whether it's actual food or not) is a little tentative about the cake

Thinking about it

Perhaps she's just not a chocolate fan

PARTY!! Grandma bought Emma a beautiful party outfit

Trying to get a picture of all 4 generations, but Emma was starting to get a little tired and cranky

Maybe if Mommy holds her...nope

Maybe if she jumps up and down...nope

"Anybody, please, get me out of here..."

Hey, a smile!

I had to add this one too. I just love Emma's face. That's my girl!

Evan decides to join in the "fun"

"Doo-di-doo, nobody will notice me back here"

The cake picture, of course

"This again?"

"Are you sure I"m supposed to eat this stuff?"

"It's not going to move if I poke it, is it?"

"Not bad, but I still prefer veggie puffs"

"This was fun, but I'm ready for my nap now Mom"
