Lately...

Emma found Evan's set of clothes out one day and wanted to put them on, sneakers and all. Maybe for Halloween we'll just dress her as her brother!

And here she is in her "pretty" shoes. They're hand-me-downs that I pulled out the other day and although they're a little big, she loves them (especially because they make a great sound on the wood floors).

One night at dinner time, Evan asked if he could make a PB&J sandwich. And of course, Emma wanted in on the action. So this is make-your-own-dinner night at the Jeffrey house!

"They're right there, do you think they're really going to let us do this?"
"Just don't make eye contact, and if they talk to you, act like you don't hear them."

And a little more jelly...

"I think you're cut off from the jelly Evan"

"I still think it needs more jelly..."

Making sandwiches is tiring work

Success!

Evan got a new Batman sweatshirt at the store. I saw it online and thought it was cool. He loved it and wouldn't take it off! He wore it to Touch-a-Truck (which we went to after the store) and he was the star of the show. Everyone was saying "Hi Batman" to him. He was a little shy about it, but it was cute.

Emma wasn't as impressed by the trucks

Festival!

Evan and I went to Septemberfest in Simsbury a few weeks ago. It's a fun event for him because there are about 20 different bouncy houses. I got him "the bracelet" so that he could go on as many as he wanted and we sure did get our money's worth! He had a blast!
Little Emma didn't get to go because it didn't start until 11am and she was already getting cranky and ready for a nap. Plus, it was really hot and muggy. Sorry Emma, next year!

This one was huge, but he wasn't intimidated at all!

Weeeeee!

We took a rest at the face-painting booth. Evan got to choose whatever he wanted and decided on a yellow dolphin

The boy on the slide to the right was about 10 years older than Evan and scared to come down. Not Evan. He's up at the top, waving. That's our boy!

Amy's Birthday!

Today is my beautiful wife's birthday. Happy Birthday! Don't worry, though, I won't get all mushy here, I'll just post a pic. Love you, Amy!
