New Playground!

We took the kids to a new playground today, which they loved. It was big and bright, with lots of places to climb and hang and swing and slide and.... Some of the slides and climbing frames and platforms got pretty high, too, which excited the kids, but made a nervous mom's heart beat just a little faster.

Here's a little video with some pics.

(And if you're wondering, the jackets are because it was about 43 degrees.)

Pumpkin Patch!

We had a fun visit to the pumpkin patch today! We went last year and had a great time, but this year there were even more things to do, so the kids had a blast. It doesn't hurt that the views from the farm are spectacular and the weather was perfect. A good time was had by all! (and we even got pumpkins!)

The "corn" box. It was a huge sandbox filled with corn instead. Much less messy, and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. Even though Emma wouldn't actually get in, she did have fun scooping the corn into the bucket.

Evan had fun running through the big tunnel

Evan was standing on something and was very excited that he was taller than Daddy!

Oh no! He's caught in the spider web!

"Cheese"!!

Although that looks like Evan next to her, Emma just climbed into the monster truck with some random boy. She was having a ball!

That right there is the face of a 4 year old boy that knows not to climb up on the front of the monster truck but puts his foot up there anyway... the camera doesn't quite capture the twinkle in his eye.

Emma loved playing on the big kid swings! "Higher Dad, higher!"

Evan and Daddy went into the farm shop to get the pumpkins and they bought some lollipops. Iron Man for Evan and Mickey Mouse for Emma! Evan's so sweet. Whenever he gets a treat he always makes sure to get something for Emma too.

That's not where it goes Emma...
That's my boy!

Shugging with Emma

As you can probably tell, sometimes I have no idea what Emma is saying... Apparently I was mistaken when I thought we were making peanut butter balls. We were actually "shugging".
