Emma's 8th Birthday!

Emma turned 8!! It was a fun day celebrating our funny, creative, sweet, adventurous little girl! It started with opening lots of presents, and then, the biggest present of all - an RV! We rented a big RV for 3 days because Emma has always been fascinated by them. Since she couldn't have a birthday party this year, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do something a little different. We all had fun hanging out and sleeping overnight in it. It was heated, so it was very comfy. It was a great way to celebrate our amazing Emma! Happy Birthday!

 

Easter

Easter was a little different this year because usually we go to Grandma Nancy's house. John is either with us or visiting Jess and Ian. But this year, we were all together at home and I made Easter brunch! It wasn't as much fun as being with the extended family, but it was still a nice day together.

This is how beautifully eggs come out for deviled eggs when no one but you is going to eat them. Not the hacked up, falling apart ones that I usually end up with.

Ham, kielbasa, deviled eggs, cheesy potatoes, marinated asparagus, and rolls. Classic Easter fare in my family.

Your face when you get a Munson's chocolate bunny

The kids each got $50 "bunny bucks" in their basket to use on whatever they wanted. However, due to a misguided design, the bucks that the Easter bunny created looked like they each had TWO $50 bunny bucks on them, so rather than argue the fact that we really thought that the Easter bunny meant that to be for just $50, two lucky kids ended up with $100 bunny bucks each. Next year the Easter bunny needs to be a little more careful...
