The best part of our day....

So we finally broke down and went to Blue Back Square in West Hartford to see what all the excitement is about. It was amazing how that whole "downtown" section of town has just sprung up out of parking lots and old buildings.

For some reason though, the whole thing felt like a Hollywood movie set. I guess because I remember it when there was nothing there, and now it's all built up to look like it was always there. But it was a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon.

Topping our whole adventure off was dessert at the cheesecake factory.....

John isn't a big fan of cheesecake, so luckily they had other options. He went with the warm apple cobbler.

There were over 30 varieties of cheesecake so it was a tough choice, but I ended up going with the pecan turtle cheesecake. The picture doesn't quite do it justice, it was a huge slice. I couldn't even finish it, so that's saying something! =)
