Then I think Evan figured the fun part was done and headed back to watch Shrek. But Emma hung in there and did a great job helping me fill the muffin tins. I was initially hesitant to let her do it until I realized she wasn't doing much worse than I did and she was having much more fun doing it! My first baking experience with my little girl :-) I hope there will be lots more!

Making muffins
On Sunday morning I decided to make some cinnamon muffin melts. I don't think I even announced what I was going to do, but I had just gotten the muffin mix out of the cupboard when I heard two chairs squeaking over from the dining room to the counter, and there were my two little helpers climbing up and ready to go. Evan helped put the mix in the bowl, Emma added the water, and they both helped stir - which is basically them holding the spoon full of batter about 2 feet above the bowl and letting it plop back down in (mostly).
